Math Websites:

Students can practice second grade math and reading skills.  Students should use their AR username and password.

Students can play math games and compete periodically in district competitions.


3. Think Central Math Lessons/Practice

This is an AWESOME site that provides lessons and practice for most math skills.  This site is great on focusing on a certain skill your child may need additional support with.

This website provides games and activities for students to practice for the end of the year math assessment, the MAP test.  Students will receive a score at the beginning of the year on the MAP pretest.  Students use their score to practice within a range that is comfortable to them.  Until your child is given a score, it is safe to have him/her practice in the 181-190 range for each domain.

This website provides math lessons and games to prepare students for the end of the year MAP assessment.  Each student will receive a log in and password for this site.

This website is designed to build addition and subtraction fluency.



Reading & Language Arts Websites:

This site provides many games for students to build their vocabulary skills.

This site allows students to complete different activities using their weekly spelling and vocabulary words.

This website helps boost vocabulary.


5. http://www.uniqueteachingresources.com/Fry-1000-Instant-Words.html

Fry word list and flash cards.  Students should master the first 600 words by the end of second grade.

6. www.readtheory.org

Read Theory is a program that enhances students reading comprehension and vocabulary skills.  This website is very helpful in preparing for the SRI test.  Students will need to log on using the log on button on the top right of the screen.  Students will use their AR log on for the username, and
password1 for the password.
